bosshogg 4 Posted June 22, 2007 Haven't heard from you for awhile. Indeed, I'm a travelin' man. I am in Memphis this evening, and it looks like I will not get any further south. I would have loved to have hitched up with you and seen more of your neck of the woods, but time is against me. I have had internet rather sporadically, and will catch up later with all that is going on with my pnet friends. Link to comment
LindaM 2 Posted June 23, 2007 Memphis is pretty cool. I was in N. Louisiana earlier this week and wondered how far south you would get. I'm getting ready to head north myself. We are going to Michigan for my mothers 70th birthday. Looking forward to seeing more from you trip when I return! Link to comment
alight 0 Posted June 24, 2007 rock candy? Does it mean you can suck on it for a long time; or perhaps the candy rocks? It's good you can call for help from there if you swallow it by mistake. Eh, I think I'll stay with almonds. Cheers, Micheal Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted June 24, 2007 That's just as well. This place hasn't been working for awhile, so you couldn't walk in and buy any V8 rocks. Link to comment
aramat57 3 Posted February 19, 2008 Love this one. I just have to comment on rock candy. It is hard to find, but it is sugar crystal clumps, not really very exciting as candy. What most people do with it is boil it with lemon juice and add a dollop of brown liquor to make a cough syrup. I am really enjoying your trip, David. Tammy Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted February 19, 2008 And I'm really enjoying your trip through my trip photos. We took this trip starting last June 10th, and we were on the road for almost eight weeks. Spent a fortune, but it was the funnest thing I've done in twenty five years. Mostly two lane and back roads, and went wherever I felt like going on any given day. Stayed in Minot, N.D. with an old high school friend I hadn't seen in thirty years and had a ball. Then went to a remote ranch in the middle of nowhere and stayed with a cowgirl I "met" right here on Photo.net. She turned out to be the hostess with the mostest, and the sweetest person I've ever known. That's part of the reason I'm so big on Pnet. I've gotten way more than twenty five dollars worth of value.
