bosshogg 4 Posted May 27, 2007 Yes, there really is an image here. If you do not take the trouble to view large, best not view at all. Thanks for comments. Link to comment
alight 0 Posted May 28, 2007 this is a great photo. Like it very much. The overall darkness gives it a good wham, and the points of light give it a good bam. The blurred carts and folks give it a good yahoo. I bet this is a mini-representation of what happens when two galaxies collide. Well done. I just wonder if viewers using CRT monitors will find this too dark? Yeah, I love the caption. Cheers, Micheal Link to comment
bjcarlton 0 Posted May 28, 2007 I see you headed south to L.A. Wilshire and Westwood by the look of it. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted May 28, 2007 Barry, no, Fresno. Therefore, by definition, it cannot be good. Micheal, you may be right. It might possibly be a bit overcooked. If you see it full screen in a dark environment (the way pics on screen should be seen) it is just the way I intended it. The detail is there, and I could make it as bright as day if I wanted to, but this seemed to be the effect the image called for. The chap almost dead center with a streak of light on his face is my grandson. Link to comment
alight 0 Posted May 28, 2007 it's OK. I'm looking at the photo on a cheap CRT monitor at work and it looks great. Cheers, Micheal Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted May 28, 2007 "At work!" You are going to get fired for googing off. What a heaavy responsibility that will be on my shoulders. I'm heading for the fridge right now for some V8. Hah hah, did you see what my friend emmanuel said about V8? Link to comment
alight 0 Posted May 29, 2007 yeah, I did - he's a wimp :-D V8 is for the strong. Anyway, have you tried the fairly new Tropicana Vegetable Original juice? It has more taste to it than V8 - maybe Emmanuel would like that. Cheers, Micheal Link to comment
alexb_paris 0 Posted June 7, 2007 yes I agree the large view is much more impressive. I don't think though that it has anything to do with the picture itself and its composition but more to do with brightness; I find it a little too dark. Great scene and image though. I would be happy with myself had I shot this one :) Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted June 7, 2007 Thanks. I deliberately pushed it into darkness, but perhaps it was a bit too much. Should I print it, I'll lighten up a bit. I suppose the screen that one is using may influence how dark it appears, but your point is well taken. Link to comment
