I really like the foreground Doug. & I always get a feeling of accomplishment when I've snapped one before the bulldozer got there. Nice catch, probably the last image of the place.

Thank you brother. Here at least the house was dismantled to save the logs, I was told. Probably it was time for this to go. But I continually am saddened to see the death of the farm economy and lifestyle. It is what made this area appealing to me when I came here 30 years ago.

you stopped to take the shot. I have so many that have disappeared. I am now making it a point to really take my time to get the right picture instead of "scouting" and saying I'll come back...because ...well...poof they tend to leave without a sound.

Doug, I spotted this image today and immediately felt a connection to the past. Scenes like this are historical and full of old stories. I'm glad you caught it before it was too late. This was someone's home once. Regards, liz
