alexb_paris 0 Posted April 19, 2007 "Wild game processing"?? my english is quite good, I thought, but I don't have a clue of what this could mean!! Anyhow, I think it's another very interestign and original capture, with loads of squares and rectangles ( I like shapes :) ) and a nice blend of colors. The rock in the foreground is maybe a little distracting but then adds to to oddity of the scenery Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted April 19, 2007 Thanks for looking. Wild game refers to any wild animals that one may have shot, snared, fished, or killed in any manner. They can bring it here to be cleaned and sawed up into palatable pieces. I thought quite a bit about the rock, as I saw it as a problem too. When I cropped it out, it just seemed to lose more than it gained, so I left it. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted April 20, 2007 Guns? Tackle? General store? Or game processing? Just too many choices! Link to comment
dennis jones 0 Posted April 20, 2007 Nope, leave the rock. Adds a dimension to this... Nice exposure and detail. Link to comment
alight 0 Posted April 20, 2007 yes, this is a funny combination of signs, in a way. Looks like tackle and guns were demoted. Or maybe the wild animals aren't so dumb. If that's the case, on your next visit you might see the wild game processing sign down, as well. Or replaced with "word processing". Cheers, Micheal Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted April 20, 2007 Thanks. I thought this was like a Montana wilderness Walmart. One stop shopping. Link to comment

bosshogg 4 Posted April 21, 2007 Thanks for commenting. If you have looked at my portfolio, you can see I took a very large number of photos in Augusta, including one at the rodeo grounds. It was a great photo shoot. As we were coming into town, we noticed a whole lot of people dressed up and getting out of their cars, and it was mid week, so I surmised it had to be for a funeral, because there was nothing else that would cause people to be out all dressed up in mid week. My partner and I went into a bar that is across the street from this scene for a little lunch. Not only was it a damn fine cheeseburger, but I was just blown away with the atmosphere. There were the real down home types, and then there were the cowboys who were wearing their Sunday duds. You know, those wool sport coats with suede leather cutouts, and the really cool stetsons. What a trip! Link to comment
