Maybe my 6/6 will help to offset the 3/3 you got.

I love this and I'm even able to allow my mind to not see the wires that are leading to the building. My eyes are immediately attracted to that wonderful staircase next to the building. Since it is all shuttered up, I'm assuming that you got closer and then went into the building to get some winning images there too? Don't disappoint me...

I have to disappoint you on this. I hit this remarkable place and I could not believe all the cool images I could see. The wind was blowing about 150 MPH making for a cold tough shoot. I think there were still some people living here. Don't know if they were squatters or not, but I made absolutely no effort to get in. On the other hand, there was tons of stuff to shoot all over the place, so I felt no sense of desperation.

Talk about a long day... I made it home from Idaho Falls to Kingsburg on this day (about 900 miles) and still stopped here there and everywhere taking about two hundred images. If I had spent as much time as I had wanted to photographing, I'd still be on the way home.

Well worth your time and the stop. These kinds of shots are among my favorite. Well done on the composition and foreground entry to an overall great scene. The tear drop trailer breaks composition perfectly. Excellent color and light David. Pure, pure, pure.
