cherlyn 1 Posted March 5, 2007 I like the same direction that the flowers & leaves are facing & the sky with clouds provide a nice natural backdrop. Link to comment
dwean1 0 Posted March 5, 2007 I agree! I like the almost diagonal direction of the stems and the bend twords the Sun! Beautiful background and composition! Doug Link to comment
williammccarey 0 Posted March 6, 2007 ...I detect some influence by Van Gogh? Kind of combining Sunflowers with Starry Night. Excellent image. Almost as beautiful as Sally! (We are owned by our fifth bulldog now.) Link to comment
lesa jones 0 Posted March 6, 2007 Thanks Cherlyn, Ivana,Doug, Antanas, and William for stopping by and leaving a comment. This was a fun shot, but my neighbor could not figure out why I was lying in his drive way to shoot it. :) Thanks again....LJ Link to comment
shawn w callahan 0 Posted March 7, 2007 The branch in the upper left is a bit of a letdown as is the lack of focus on the flowers themselves (the main one in front anyway). Link to comment
fergi 0 Posted March 7, 2007 Lesa, crazy Lesa. I looked at the angle of attack and wondered. Then I read your replies and yes, you are one of the chosen. The photog who lay in wait for the perfect shot. Even if in wait is for two minutes in the neighbor's drive. I love that you did that and I love the yellow and green against the blue and white sky. Stunning and should be published. fergi Link to comment
mvisionphotography 1 Posted March 7, 2007 Beach was warm today ... the Azalea's are blooming too :) ~ I love how you captured the clouds up top and how they reach for the sun except for that silly one. Link to comment
lesa jones 0 Posted March 7, 2007 Thanks Shawn, Andrew, and Micki. Shawn, the image was actually a lot sharper before I uploaded to PN...don't know what happened. Fergi and Micki...you make me jealous being in P'Cola...my FAVORITE beach! Azalea's are blooming here also. There is a place called Bellingrath Gardens here that is wonderful...have been wanting to go take a look at all their azalea's but haven't had the chance yet...school and all. Take care and thanks again for stopping by.....regards.....LJ Link to comment
marahjj 0 Posted March 12, 2007 Great perspective Lesa! Love the clouds high above.......The strong lighting suits this shot well...I can just feel the sun's warmth! We have a few more weeks before Spring finds us up here....take time to smell the flowers for me :) I miss color all around and scented air! Best regards!! Link to comment
