I like the same direction that the flowers & leaves are facing & the sky with clouds provide a nice natural backdrop.

I agree! I like the almost diagonal direction of the stems and the bend twords the Sun! Beautiful background and composition!

...I detect some influence by Van Gogh? Kind of combining Sunflowers with Starry Night. Excellent image. Almost as beautiful as Sally! (We are owned by our fifth bulldog now.)

The branch in the upper left is a bit of a letdown as is the lack of focus on the flowers themselves (the main one in front anyway).

Lesa, crazy Lesa. I looked at the angle of attack and wondered. Then I read your replies and yes, you are one of the chosen. The photog who lay in wait for the perfect shot. Even if in wait is for two minutes in the neighbor's drive. I love that you did that and I love the yellow and green against the blue and white sky. Stunning and should be published.

I love how you captured the clouds up top and how they reach for the sun except for that silly one.

Fergi and Micki...you make me jealous being in P'Cola...my FAVORITE beach! Azalea's are blooming here also. There is a place called Bellingrath Gardens here that is wonderful...have been wanting to go take a look at all their azalea's but haven't had the chance yet...school and all. Great perspective Lesa! Love the clouds high above.......The strong lighting suits this shot well...I can just feel the sun's warmth! We have a few more weeks before Spring finds us up here....take time to smell the flowers for me :) I miss color all around and scented air! Best regards!!
