aren't we supposed to count sheep instead of chimneys? I do agree with your abstract treatment of the scene - a straight photo like this would be too "ordinary". I like the slanted roof. I would prefer to see more symetry there, that is an equal space (or almost) between the small chimney and the smoke stack on the right as it is on the left. Another version-addition that would make the photo a little goofy and at the same time send a message would be to add a flower to each smoke stack, so it would look like growing out of it.

Thanks. I really liked this one, but you are the only one to comment, and the ratings while not horrible, didn't excatly make it famous. I thought it looked like a painting in a style I am too dumb to be able to name, but I know there is such a style. Anyway, when I get my printer, I'm definitley going to print a copy of this one. It may just end up on one of my walls at home.

Your idea about having something coming out of the smokestacks is a good one. The way this was taken, however, I fear it would crowd the top border too much and that would not look too good. How about a genie coming out?

now I know for sure you're the Grand Master of all nut-o-meters, if you want to post a picture like this on your wall. Regardless of its beauty to you, it's a picture of smoke stacks, for goodness' sake...who posts photos of industrial errections on his/her walls? Talking about that, how about putting condoms over the smoke stacks, instead of a genie? Well, putting a genie there would make it funny, but it wouldn't send such a message as flowers would. I think the style of art you can't put a name to is called "errectionism". Drinking Tropicana vegie juice, Micheal
