Dieter, this image has a very special, magical feel to it. The light, movement and grace of the Egret add up to a very special moment. Best regards, Carole (deserves 7/7 but not allowed)

This is one of your best IMHO, Dieter. The exposure is perfect, highlighting the light on its neck and the shadows as well. Great timing. It deserves a 7/7 but i was not allowed. Sorry about that.

Could not get any better than this! You tripped the shutter at the perfect moment. Having shot several of these guys myself I know what he really is doing, but the moment is well captured to suggest that he is dancing rather thank taking off and not tucked his legs in yet. 7/7 for both aesthetics and originality. Never seen an Egret shot like this before, so definitely a one-of-a-kind here. I love the wing detail too!

Thank you, Jason. He actually didn't take off and was literally jumping around fishing. To me a quite unusual behavior for a Great Egret, I usually see Snowy Egrets behave that way. Regards, Dieter
