bosshogg 4 Posted January 12, 2007 I'm pretty sure I've seen this before, and maybe even commented. Either that or I'm starting to lose my mental faculties and don't know what's real and not so real. Anyway, this guy looks so real and down home. Like the guy next door or uncle John. There is an earnestness in his direct gaze and maybe a wry wit underneath that seriousness. That's the nice thing about good portraits. They trick the viewer into thinking they know something about the subject, when, in fact, they don't know anything. All that by way of saying, "nice portrait." Link to comment
dberryhill 3 Posted January 12, 2007 Dave, you ain't losin' it. This was up before, but I decided to give him a bit more headroom. You have an exceptional perceptiveness! Danny IS the man you describe - earnest, sensitive, with a keen wit and a quick laugh. As always, I'm very appreciative that you continue to share your thoughts and your insight. Link to comment
