jim kerr 0 Posted November 23, 2006 Pnina, Always something that really catches my eye, I can't get to deep into the mystic realm of what something means to another person, all I can tell is if it is interesting to me, which of course it is.....I do know, one has to be a real artist to see these scenes as worthy of photographing......Jim Link to comment

hanna_v 0 Posted November 23, 2006 thanks for YOUR observation, Pnina! :-) I love that my eyes can wander around like in a '2D-world' (or a game). but THEN there is this arm in 3D... I also like the fact that the pic is in b&w, except the 'reality-arm' and the red heart. Link to comment

Jack McRitchie 150 Posted November 25, 2006 One for the ages, Pnina, this is why I always check out your pictures. We have an illuminated arm with it's owner and friends in silhouette. Then there's the shadow against the 2-D drawings on the wall. Here we have worlds within worlds. Superb. (And I didn't even mention the little heart!) Link to comment
alexandra rauh 0 Posted November 25, 2006 Pnina,it is just explained so well..Great move and harmony,i feel i am part of it,the way it goes.Everything loose, also the drawings, but it holds together very well as a picture Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted November 25, 2006 Amal,Dimitris,Karina, and Alix for your nice comments and feedback Daily and Jack,as usual your observation is well interpreted and worded! Thanks again to all of you. Link to comment
kahkityoong 0 Posted November 25, 2006 Very well seen Pnina. A very strong image but I think a much tighter crop would be more effective and would eliminate the most distracting element from the silhuoettes, that is the lit arm. What do you think? Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted November 25, 2006 It is, of course, a wonderful image. I, too, find the illuminated arm a bit distracting and out of place. I tried to temper that thought with the fact that by having it so well illuminated, it brought another visual element to the image. But in my mind, the red heart is the greatest single element of this image (esp. its placement), so I have to say that I would have burned it in a bit and then just shave a teeny bit off of the left side. Having said that, I realize I am being a bit pretentious to even comment, as it is a better photo than I have ever done or am likely to do. Regards. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted November 25, 2006 Kah and david, thank you both for taking the time, But I will try to explain my reasoning to you.The 3 figures are a wall painting ( graphity) the man with the colored arm is a silhouette and the only live prerson in the scene, I think that by taking out the colored arm it will be a silhouettes image, but the arm and part of the jeans are making the difference, for me at least it is, compositionwise and as a context it is "doing the job". as well as the red heart which is part of the wall "painting". Anyway thank you both , I'm always ready to get other points of view, sometime I will accept them and sometime I will stick to my way of thinking;-)) Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted November 26, 2006 Pnina, I was suggesting the same as others as to the it arm as distracting; I have read your reason and still think that I'd make that arm black to complete the silhouette. That's your decision, anyway. The image is really interesting and original. Link to comment
