bosshogg 4 Posted November 8, 2006 Too many photo netters think "aesthetics" means is it pretty. Aesthetics is supposed to refer to such things as ability to convey a message, a feeling, an emotion, a thought. For those of you who think Kincade is a great painter, don't waste your time on this. nicola pani 0 Posted November 8, 2006 The picture tells the degradation of the politics of war(for oil) or no? Why this title? Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted November 8, 2006 As you may recall, last year Mr. Cheney accidentally shot one of his hunting companions with a shotgun while they were hunting. This is a rather loosely connected joke making fun of his mishap. I suppose one could make a case for a much larger meaning about war, politics, or whatever, but in truth it was not meant as such. dberryhill 3 Posted November 8, 2006 I think the Cheney reference does trivialize what I find to be a powerful commentary on the whole guns, violence, war mentality that we see in movies, television, and in the workplace and schools. The scene is ugly, tilted, and the shells come in sharper focus as they get nearer. I find that this conveys a message to me very effectively. I like it a lot. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted November 9, 2006 Well, perhaps I was being a little insensitive. It is processed to give it a kind of dream-like feel. At least, that was my intention. Thanks for your view on it. I respect your opinions greatly. Link to comment
