THE WHARF

Dave, this is lovely! The light and shadow, the soft colors, the repeating pattern of the carts. I think it particularly intrigues me because it shows a world that I know nothing about, living a long way from water. Nice work!

Thanks. We have been spending a few days at a friend's place in Monterey. I went for a walk late in the afternoon a couple of days ago, and ended up at this wharf where they process and sell fish. I was quite pleased to spot this scene.

Come out to visit, and I'll take you to the sea, so you can know something about it and take some pictures in some places a little different than your usual haunts.

I love the light in this image. I can take no credit. The D200 did it all. The only thing I had to do was be standng there, frame, and push the button. Not much post processing. Thanks for commenting.
