I like this photo..a sense of abandon and solitude...I think it might work also without the foreground...just a proposal (if you don't like I'll remove it)...regards, Laurent.

Thanks so much for giving this photo your personal touch. I am honored. I think I am going to half agree with you. That unfocused foreground is a distraction and should be trimmed as you did it. But it looks like you cut a little off of the top, and I think it needs that space above it to show how it really doesn't go anywhere. By no means would I suggest you remove your revision. I greatly appreciate the help that you and others have offered.

Nice shot i think you frame this perfectly David with out bottom part this shot will look silly ( sorry Laurent Jaussi no offence )i will change maybe the title ... " from nowhere to nowhere " or drunk path :)

sometimes I like to revisit to see if time might make me think differently on a shot...well on that particular one I think the original is best...you actually need space around the stairs to reinforce the abandonned feeling...regards, Laurent.

Hi David, i completely overlooked this image when i first visited your folio. what a great shot, i can nearly see ghosts walking up these stairs, it tells a story about time and space. GREAT!

I can see the merits of both crops. The full-sized version at least gives the stairs a sense of a beginning, making the lack of any meaningful ending place all the more powerful, in my opinion.

Nice work.

David, Thumbs way up. I like the original with the foreground. It really is beautiful. And, it looks to me like it's headed to heaven, not "nowhere". yes, it's a heavenly photograph. Peace, Jeanne

Jeanne: Thanks. You are so kind. I appreciate you coming over and checking out some of the old stuff.

Kim: My apologies to you. I just now found your comment, and it is my habit to try to thank each and every person who takes the trouble to leave a comment. Funny thing is you commented at just about the time I was in Montana, visiting Susan. Well, anyway, belated thanks for looking and leaving the comment.
