Wonderful gold light. These kinds of scenes always make me wonder about the lives behind the story.

Thanks. Even though it has been enhanced a bit in PS, there really was a wonderful late afternoon light on this scene, which is what drew me to it in the first place.

I know, I know, it's cheating but.....I'd place the boot on the left closer to the other boot so that they're both on the cardboard with the red lettering above and below them and shoot up closer?! I do like the background of the old delapidated building and love the golden light but my "eye" isn't staying centered (yes I have two eyes and no I'm not crossed eyed) on the main subject....the boots. Just a thought. And they're cowboy boots.....now where did that man go.

No doubt you are aesthetically correct. As strange as it may seem, I have no problem manipulating a scene with PS, but for some reason I have always had this compunction against changing a found scene. It is not logical, and it should not hold sway, but................

well I guess this is out of the box...the boots that is...I like this one over the the last three you posted...seems to me a bit more box on the left side for my taste...but you shot this for you! Maybe a tad lower angle and possibly straight on to catch both the front and the back of the boots at the same time would of been fun...I really like the tone however it was done...as well as the rust on the wall...looks like sunset for them boots...by the way...I have a pair jeez like from my 8th grade...a tad better shape than those of course...!Juan

Thanks. Light was very late afternoon and was quite golden. I did enhance it slightly with hue and saturation in PS, and I cropped out a bit of stuff on both sides as I was not in that close. I could have moved things for a better picture, but it just didn't seem like the right thing to do. And, we were trespassing.

Shoot, not only would I have moved them there boots but I probably would of tried 'em on....waste not, want not. Admire your integrity.

You Montanans do that kind of stuff I guess. Around here you get shot for messin' with someone else's stuff.
