A visitor...

The pictures were found in suitcases of Jews sent to gas chambers.

This is a part of exhibition in Sauna in former extermination camp in

Auschwitz-Birkenau. I wanted to show some contrast of clothes and

topic here, as well as emotions - the fist she made while watching.

Wonderful image. To me it represents the pathos of human existence. The photo of humanity's inhumanity, but also the hope and expectations that survive. Also, the thought that while feeling utter and complete disgust for what we as living breathing organisms are capable of, there is the feeling that shortly thereafter the owner of the legs and camera will be off for another tourist destination and, perhaps a celebration at a nearby biergarten. And so it must be I suppose.
