No, it's on a building directly behind our city hall right here in Kingsburg, Ca. When I first started photography in the early 90's, this was one of my first pictures (black and white film, of course). The other night I was out riding my bike and stopped and clicked this one with my digital.

Brick wall signs aren't my kind of thing, but this one is pretty good. Particularly since it's an ad for cigars at a reasonable price.

Glad to see you here Doug. Shawn, I do still have the old black and white at my little studio, which is not here at my house. I shall have to dig it up. It was a big print, so I cannot scan it. I am pretty sure that over the last 15 years some of this ad art has been sand blasted off.

I thought I'd get in the act of changing your view of a scene to mine. Here I upped the contrast, burned the doors a bit to keep them from dominating the picture, gave it a bit more saturation, and did a fine edge sharpening to bring out the texture of the brick. Feel free to tell me that I have enough to do trying to get my own pictures presentable without messing with yours.

I like it. Doug you are turning into a Photoshop maven. Before you know it, you might be giving up the country lawyering day job.

Another wonderful image. The combination of typography, color and angles is excellent. I do love your back alley finds.

Thanks again. I am going to make an effort to try and bring some people into my work as you have so sucessfully been doing lately. You have been an inspiration to me.

I see you've added a little spice to this shot. I of course like the color charge but I'm not clear on the upper right corner of sky and yellow blur???

Thanks to both of you. As you said Kent, the color touch was not quite deft enough, especially in the upper right corner. I confess that sometimes I am too impatient to post a photo and do not finish it off as well as I should. This is one of those cases. You both inspire me to do better.
