marcobrivio 0 Posted June 21, 2006 Sorry, this image is an offense before being without sense Link to comment
tobys bits 0 Posted June 21, 2006 I don't find this image offensive, it just reminds me of a Madonna video :-) Link to comment
morophaenixmau 22 Posted June 24, 2006 Dear Marco, thanks for your comment: I appreciate every kind of comment because is a stimulus to a dialogue and your words open a door on very interesting artistic and psychological arguments. For first thing I (?but not only I?) think that every image has a sense and it is present in the interior world of the author. In my image, my idea is about the sense of the mystic ecstasy that joins the holy and profane parts of woman, but also of man. Where is offence? ?and towards who? I think that is important to know to see the images with a free and without prejudices eye. See you again, with respect, Maurizio. Link to comment
Ciao, Marco Link to comment
paulhenriimages 0 Posted June 25, 2006 First, I must comment on your gorgeous model. I would love to have such a beautiful woman to work with. Second, this to me is the essense of dichotomy, not at all offensive, and to take offense is to be narrow-minded. It also reminds me of Mary Magdelene, who according to those who follow the Bible, Jesus forgave(for what I am not sure,) and he did not judge her. I love this type of photo and would do them myself if I could. You can see from my jesus series that I am profane and do not fall prey to what narrow religious thinking says is acceptable. If you find it acceptable and artful (as I do,) then it is my friend. Do not let others dictate what is and isn't. Paul Henri Link to comment
occhicone 0 Posted December 31, 2006 i like the photo ad the series - moreover i like the "italianess" of the photo - this could be the bedroom of any of my relatives from 'the other side' and i think is sucessfully touches on the contrast between religious feeling and the sensuality that is strong an italian identity Link to comment
al_gee 0 Posted September 2, 2007 my thought on seeing this, was, is she questioning her faith by revealing her sensuality, or is she affirming her faith by offering her soul to God. she is partly nude it is true, BUT, she is also reverently touching her heart. who knows what piety lurks in the hearts of women... only the shadow knows! well done to the both of you.
