Hello Dave. This is nicely done. Did you take the pic of the locomotive actually there, or did you import it from another photo-place? It would be also interesting to see it the other way around - ghost station and a "solid" locomotive. Ch-ch-ch-cheers, Micheal

This is an oldie from my film days. I knew nothing of PhotoShop then. It's just a double exposure. Half before the train arrives, and half with the train where you see it. While your idea intriques me, I don't know how it could be done, since the trains move and the station doesn't.

Dave, any chance doing it with layers in Photoshop? As in combining two photos (train; station) and making the station photo-layer more transparent? Cheers, Micheal

Jeez, no wonder I can't get anywhere in life. I spend twenty hours a week working with PS, and when someone gives me a problem that could easily be accomplished with PS, I don't even see the solution. This is very embarassing. Of course it could be done in PS. I was just thinking like I was in the time that this picture was taken, and I'm limited to film. How funny. You're a goddammed genius, Micheal. No, really.

Well, Dave, that happens to everyone sometimes. BTW, I'm a godblessed genius, and so are you. My previous comment was also a subtle way of asking if I may look forward to seeing such a picture. Blessed cheers, Micheal

Dave, no matter how this was done, PS layers or Old school Double eX. This is a haunting photo. I bet a night verion or a late evening version of this would be kick arse. A great shot.
