cromwell1664877587 0 Posted February 20, 2006 This is a composite of two pictures I took this afternoon through a closed window. The background is a yard full of snow. Link to comment
gungajim 75 Posted February 20, 2006 I gave it a 7/7 before I read your note about it being a composite. Not sure I would have given the 7/7 had I known that but either way, it communicates a lot and the title is wonderful. Link to comment
nordic 0 Posted February 20, 2006 It comes out with a great picture, but only rated it low because there wasn't an indication of a fusion of two pictures in the title. I felt cheated. I felt like I was set-up, just like watching a biased perspective on the evening news. Link to comment
cromwell1664877587 0 Posted February 20, 2006 Wes - Right below the title in my request for critique I stated this was a composite, and did so immediately after uploading. I'm not going to put "this is a compostite" in the title...gimme a break. A great deal of people wouldn't have gone as far as I did in admitting UP FRONT SO AS NOT TO MAKE PEOPLE FEEL CHEATED, that this was a composite. Now I kind of wish I would've waited 3 days to say the truth about the image, just to see how cheated you would've really felt. Link to comment
nordic 0 Posted February 20, 2006 Not all people who rate pictures here get to see the comments. You have a lot of superb photos in your portfolio. My comment probably expressed more my view of fusing things in a bird/nature/natural area. I just believe this sets your photo into the category of Digital Alteration not Birds. Link to comment
cromwell1664877587 0 Posted February 20, 2006 Thanks for the reply, Wes. I understand completely now. I wasn't thinking about how going through the list to rate anonymously, nothing is shown but the picture and title. Link to comment
nordic 0 Posted February 20, 2006 No problem Scott. I have the same snow in my OKC back yard and possibly the same set of cardinals. It gave me a bit of time to relax with Photoshop! Link to comment
jose reina 0 Posted February 21, 2006 Great action shot. Soft colours and perfect background that makes the eye go where the action is. Regards:Jose Link to comment
peter_kervarec 0 Posted February 22, 2006 Hello Scott, even though this is a comp - 7/7 for imagination and execution. Link to comment

riclan 0 Posted May 14, 2010 Very very nice. I don't really mind that it's a composition. It's not worse than stretching up in photoshop the color, the tone, HDR or what else. Link to comment
