"Ice Man"

baldurbirgis

1943 -1983. R.I.P.

Shot 1978 in a cave. Shutter speed 1/60. Apperture f/5.6. Natural light above. The man behind the ice, Gunnar Oskarsson (3.4.1943 - 1.1.1983), was a good friend of mine. "Ice Man" was cool but in the end, ice caused his death. Copyright: Baldur Birgis

Great composition and as Pnina says the human figure adds a new dimension to the shot. Looks cold!

PN insists ona 6/6 for this though I think it should be more.

Brad, thank you very much for your comment. Glad you think so. First I was not sure posting the image because it brought up sad memories. However, I think my friend would have been glad with himself here. He was one of a kind.
