jana 1 Posted November 26, 2005 The adobe buildings in New Mexico are very special, you feel the touch of indigenous people's culture. This image has been treated in the way that it undersripes the softness of the adobe architecture. Let me know what you think. Thank you, Jana Link to comment

manuelbayo1 0 Posted November 26, 2005 Hi Jana, nice picture. I like the creativity of the picture, it seems like you have lacquered it over a frame of ceramic.A personal way of transmit us the colour of the scene. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 26, 2005 Jana, I love the way you've abstracted the scene. You've emphasized the three colors (well, two colors and white) and at the same time flattened the the structure to further enhance the basic shapes. (I assume you did this by using a few layers both blurred and sharp?). For the most part, my eye is drawn right to the four crosses that are aligned in a compositionally interesting way across the frame. The white against the vibrant blue works very well. My eye is pulled away by the two white structures lower down (gates?). I wonder if a tighter composition, of primarily the crosses would have been a worthwhile alternative. But that's just me disecting a scene. I think your treatment here illustrates a sensitivity to the subject that you've managed to convey to the viewer. Link to comment

ransford 0 Posted April 22, 2006 Taos is fantastic. I'm going back in June and hope to improve on images I did last time. Taos Pueblo is a challenge, so enchanting, yet bleak and harsh at the same time. great shadows, as in your image here. Thanks for your comment on my abstract image. It means a lot coming from one with great imagination and a spirit of adventure. I like your whole portfolio. Link to comment
