Guest Guest Posted July 23, 2005 I think this is one of the best if not the best so far of the hair shots in your series. You've probably noticed that it is easier to get it right with lowkey than hikey (don't ax me why). The hair perimeter from 12 till 3 o'clock could have a touch more hairlight but nevertheless it is good even this way. The hairlight from 3 till 5 o'clock seems to have a bit different temperature - I'm not sure its better than equal temp. The real weak point is his shirt. A bit tidier shirt and this could be a Schwartzkopf add. The basic light on the face is faultless. The pose coupled with the lense produces a very graphic shot suitable for commercials...just an idea. You could try a dark but not black background and have a snoot/spotlight/slide projector there. It's an old Hollywood cliche, but could work with hairdos. Another thing that popped my mind is that now that you've got the glimmer right in the hair, you could put a thought into tonally chosen jewelry - with women that is. Link to comment
