You chose a nice spot. Color correction may be required; I am pretty sure the soil is not that blue. It is subjective though...

What you see is the blue fog (the soil is definitely not blue). This is just after sunset, so the shadow areas look dark and foggy. I checked the original slide and it looks blue there too. One can argue that it is possible to correct this in Photoshop. However, I preferred to keep it the way it looks in the film and to the naked eye. Thanks for viewing.

In my opinion it would be even better if one could see at least a little bit of the sky.

Love the colors...I disagree with both comments you have received for this picture..this bluishness I think we have seen in many pictures from this location but I cannot explain it.Including the sky...!! How??? If you look closer to this picture, you will see the size of the place and the angle of view to capture it all is unimagineable...what makes this picture a fantastic one are the originality, perspective , and your decision to leave this image as original as it is...!! 7/7
