The original picture can be seen here: http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=3048224 Extracted the luminance channel of the lab mode and did minor curves adjustments. One advantage of using luminance channel over channel mixer is, details are preserved in all parts of the image. Whereas in other methods, details may be lost in places where, two adjacent colors correspond to the same shade of grey. Am I wrong? Could you please highlight on this. Also, which version appeals more to you? The color or the black and white. Thanks Link to comment
