gabriella_lucia 0 Posted January 6, 2005 Yes, the detail is in this cute little girl's eyes. The expression also shows she is a natural for the camera. She reminds me of a little girl I know and love. Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted January 6, 2005 Dude, you don't need any help with your portrait skills. This is a 7/7 from where I sit...and I am not being generous. Then again, maybe its that 20D? Link to comment
home page1 0 Posted January 6, 2005 I'm sure the 20D helps, but I've spent too much time on this image to attribute the results to only the 20D. Thanks for your comment. Link to comment
dhawks 0 Posted January 6, 2005 Wonderful, impromptu photograph. It has an easy, casual feel to it appropriate to children's portraiture. Very well done. Regards, Doug. Link to comment
melissapapajphotography 0 Posted January 6, 2005 You are a wonderful photographer. I aspire to someday be as good as you, it seems I have a long way to go. I have enjoyed looking through your portfolio. Link to comment
bekster 0 Posted January 6, 2005 A playful little girl that makes me smile, it must be infectious... just magic! Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted January 6, 2005 Ken, I'll say, "Ojos Verdes Sparkles." This one is natural, regardless of equipment used. I like the off center composition and out-of-focus background. Skin tone is also pleasing with nice detail in highlight and shadow. Well done. IMHO. ^_^ Link to comment
harnstrom1 0 Posted January 6, 2005 Very nice portrait of a little girl. Lovely expression and lovely green. Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted January 7, 2005 I was kidding. It's the man behind the camera not the camera. The camera only does what its told to do by its master. Sometines it listens and sometimes it doesn't. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted January 7, 2005 Cute portrait, Ken. Love the green eyes (since I have them myself, probably I'm biased)! Nice colors and tones. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted January 7, 2005 Ken, I don't like warming filters on every portrait, which seems to be the fashion in some corners, but I thought I would just see what happens with red = +10 in post-processing, which might approximate some mild warming filters. (I really don't know which post-processing values would approximate the standard warming filters. Of course, I also have no idea if we are seeing the same thing on our different monitors.) Great shot, in any case, and I'm sure you worked a long time to get the tones you wanted. Link to comment
emre 0 Posted January 7, 2005 I think there is a green cast, but I do not have time to examine with Photoshop right now; check for yourself. Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted January 7, 2005 What a wonderful smile and well done on capturing her in camera. I like Lannie's version. but the origianl is nonetheless excellent. 7/6 Link to comment
