giuseppe_miriello1 0 Posted December 31, 2004 wow... it's just perfect. i wonder, a longer exposure time would have made the water much more blurry and soft Link to comment
msoskil 0 Posted January 3, 2005 Giuseppe, Thank you for the comment. I would have liked to try it with a longer exposure. I didn't have a ND filter with me, this was as long as I could make it. I think about 2.5 seconds. I believe I used a polorizer here to stretch out the exposure, and cut glare from the water. Link to comment
BelaMolnar 2 Posted October 13, 2007 Thank you for your comments for one of my image, the hors in a snow flurry. I went through in your portfolio, and had seen a loots of nice images. One thing I noticed, al of your water falls, rapids images are sharp, but the water loosing the dynamic, because the to long exposures. I did this mistake in the beginning, shooting such a subjects. I known, you wanted the water to be silky. You can have the water silky, and has the small detail, from the falling water, the effect of the water as falling, using shutter speed not longer then 1/4 - 1/6th of a second. Depending, how close you are to the falling or tumbling water. And for this subject, I recommend using Speed priority, instead Aperture priority, or manual mode. I don't say, those images are not good images. The rest of your portfolio are all nice, well balanced composition, color, etc. Best regard; Bela Link to comment
