gooseberry 0 Posted October 28, 2004 That surely was a mentally challenging session for me! And a make-shift one in terms of improvising a "studio", so with my experience with studio shots being nonexistent, the results are technically far from acceptable; you'll perhaps find too many things to improve to list...Please compare this shot with this one. steve_wall1 0 Posted October 28, 2004 it's too in focus to be abstract, too out of focus to be a portrait. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 28, 2004 the other one confirmed what I thought...a shot of a crossdresser. I prefer the out of focus one more. The face is too bizzar for me in the clearer one Link to comment
gooseberry 0 Posted October 29, 2004 Hi Alexis, re cross-dressing, please read my critique request for this picture; it should clarify this issue.Cheers,Tomek Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 9, 2004 yes it did. I should appologize. I commented without thinking. I personally don't mind the subject matter at all, but I think it weirded me a little seeing this shot, especially when you showed the not so fuzzy one. This has such an errie feeling to it. Again, I'm sorry for commenting witout taking more time to contemplate my feelings and the shot. Alexis Link to comment
gooseberry 0 Posted November 9, 2004 Take it easy -- I don't blame you; just wanted to clarify what you couldn't have known (guess I would have thought just the same). You should have seen how soft my legs got when I first met her face-to-face...Really unfortunate person, by the way: she must be getting a lot of strange looks if not open hostility on a daily basis, and she surely doesn't deserve this rejection. Wasn't her choice to begin with, but even if, there is nothing inherently wrong with it either. It's just that we as a society don't tolerate well anything that's different and thus doesn't fit into the mental mould of what?s "right" that we carry in our heads. Considering that, her positive attitude amazes me even more. Link to comment
