Great job, Hugh... Muted colors and the blurred figure at front fit very well with the theme of this image.... Great in every respect!!!

I saw on the news the other day that you guys were getting blasted with snow. It looks like a warm front to me :o)

I like that this one tells the story. Umbrella in a snow storm? I guess you do what you have to do.

Interesting photo Hugh. I like the depth, leading lines, and separation of the main focus from the crowd. One person dealing with this in a dignified way (the London way) and the others fighting the battle like the rest of us.

Thank you Kim, Jay & Brad your words are kind.

Michael, I feel your presence even when no words are spoken thank you.

David I was soaked to the skin that night and all within 15 Mins. More concerned with my camera though.

I really enjoyed your comment, Thanks!

Anna, how wonderful it is to see you here,

Welcome!!!

Great shot! Funny that no one (i've seen) writes: Darkroomed. under Technical Details. :-) The composition really does it for me here.

...and I feel this is even better mood than the Chelsea bridge that just saw!... I think the composition is stronger, more coherent, here... great overall result... And personally, does remind me the apocalyptic metaphysical feeling I experienced when first arrived in London many winters back (something like the sky was too low, the light was too... hmm...)

This was the standout in the crowd. No pun intended. The harried blur of the shielded umbrella bearer and the sharp focus of the masses in pursuit. This could be interpreted so many ways, but it cools down to the fact that you've selectively chosen the background and utilized the muted tones of a Winter night. Works for me.
