tm_j 30 Posted November 16, 2021 I don't believe I've seen this 'Catkins' before anywhere. When first look at the image I had thought it's a green rope from cursory look at the texture. Seeing the tittle I found that it's a 'fruit' of a plant that I have probably never seen before (don't recall). The texture of the snow and the catkins is very fine and beautiful against the blur background. Thanks for sharing! Link to comment
gregverena 343 Posted November 17, 2021 Tm -- this is the male, pollen producing part of the hazelnut tree or bush. I forget that not everyone has a couple of these growing wild outside their kitchen as we do. They produce pollen in the winter but the flowers don't form till spring so there is a long wait for the pollen to reach its goal! Link to comment
