Giangiorgio Crisponi 477 Posted October 20, 2021 A nice series of photos of these geese not present in my territory, great DOF, ciao Giangiorgio Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted October 20, 2021 Graize Mille Giangiorgio! These birds are suppose to be 'foreigner / alien' from Canada (call Canada Geese) but I think they are actually locals :-) Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted October 21, 2021 Hi TmJ, of all the wonderful photos in your recent geese series, I like this one best; I think it's because of the combination of composition and action. Birds do not only migrate, sometimes they tend to stay at a certain place they visit and become 'locals', as you called it, most likely when they meet favorable circumstances for living/breeding. Very nice work! Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted October 21, 2021 Thank you Vincent Oiseau! This one is a crop of a larger one with 5 birds and I wanted to crop to this one because I wanted to show the droplets of water to add dynamism to the image. By the way, is Oiseau your last name ? or you took that moniker because you like 'bird' ? if you don't mind me asking. I had French & Spanish (I love languages) when I went to college ... many 'beers' ago :-) Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted October 22, 2021 Hi TmJ, you're right, Oiseau isn't my real last name, it is a moniker I chose because I'm fond of birds. And of course I don't mind you asking, by the way you're the second PN'er who figured this out. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted October 24, 2021 LOL! Vincent, it's very kind of you to answer my somewhat 'intrusive' question. I love the French language and always wish I can be as fluent at it as I am with English (note that English is not my Mother toungue either). I just love languages and wish I can just walk down the street and understand everything that's thrown at me. How wonderful it would be to understand everything instead of thinking that it's just 'noise'. Same here, I found out your last name is probably is a moniker because I am not afraid of French since I had a couple classes to learn it. Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted October 24, 2021 Hi TmJ, now I'm wondering what is your mother tongue :) where do you come from originally? Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted October 24, 2021 LOL, Vincent, if I tell you, I have to kill you /jk - I am VietNamese-American! I am fluent (read/write) in both VietNamese & English and .... hmm .. hmm marginal in French & Spanish (Je suis vietnamien-américain / Soy vietnames-americano). Nothing that Mr. Google translate won't solve, LOL! Link to comment
