tm_j 30 Posted October 14, 2021 Grazie Mille Giangiorgio! Always good to hear from you! I shown my cousin my images on photo.net and he asked who is Mr. Crisponi and after I told him that you are way over there in Italy, he told me I should have stop by when I went to Europe, LOL! From the images that you posted, I am sure it's a great area. I've been to Italy twice (on tour) and we love Italy. Lately, I am shooting with an Olympus OMD-EM1 Mark II + Lumix 100-300mm, hence, a shot like this is very much at maximum reach of this little setup and it's no where near the reach of your 300-800mm on a larger sensor. Giangiorgio Crisponi 477 Posted October 15, 2021 Tim if you come from my part you will surely find yourself in a beautiful environment rich in birdlife, Cagliari, if you go to see on Google Earth, is surrounded to the east and west by vast lagoons, partially transformed into vast salt flats for the extraction of sea salt. Currently I have also bought a Sigma Sport 150-600mm much more manageable and usable even freehand. I noticed you are using a new camera, but don't retire your previous Canon , ciao Giangiorgio Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted October 16, 2021 Grazie Mille Giangiorgio! I also had the Sigma 150-600mm sport for a while, it's a very sharp lens and weight a bit less than my Canon 500mm F4 IS (8.5lbs verse 7lbs or so). I am not selling my Canon yet since it does not worth much now and it's a great lens. I still shoot it with my Canon 7D Mark II but the last few weeks, I am trying out this little setup with the Olympus OMD-EM1 Mark II and pleasantly surprise at what I can get. However, I've been here before and sold of all my 4/3 lenses before because focusing speed is not up to Nikon, Canon or Sony level. It's got it's place though! Link to comment
