Giangiorgio Crisponi 463 Posted November 26, 2020 Excellent image of these seeds with silky hairs (in our country they are typical of Asclepias fruticosa, a plant loved by monarch butterflies), ciao Giangiorgio Link to comment
gregverena 339 Posted November 26, 2020 Laurent, Rosario, Giangiorgio, Philip- thanks so much! This is milkweed, the major host for monarch butterflies. We keep a few plant around the garden and these this year were indeed host to several monarch caterpillars, which, we assume, turned into butterflies! Link to comment
