MELTING

jekamobile

One more chunk of ice from the famous Abraham Lake. From the same day when I got cold and barely crawling thru the ice under very strong wind. Sunrise minutes of last January.

Brilliant dynamic photography Evgeny. Made by the yellow sunrise catching the ice and reaching to the foreground.

Hi Evgeny,

your hardship certainly wasn't for nothing; this is a spectacular photo, especially because of the (color) connection between fore- and background. The technical execution is also admirable. Although the chunk of ice is clearly your main subject, the warm sky in the background is somewhat competing for attention. I can't say how you could have avoided that (other than not including the sky, which was no option), it's just an observation. I still think it's a stunning shot. Kind regards, Vincent

Hi, Vincent. Great to hear from you again! My idea was to establish the communication Ice-Sky - back and forth. Myself I found this somewhat relaxing rather than erratic. My eye travels clockwise - all around. the shot. Thank you for opinion.
