Great abstract in wonderful colors, maybe I would never guess it were circus tents, but I love it anyway! My sincere compliments, Michael! PDE

Pierre, needing to find a suitable title and being unsuccessful, my first impression decided the matter. I'm so glad that you found the image worth viewing and reviewing. - - My best always, michael

This one caught my eye, Michael. No idea what I'm looking at, but I like it. You might just turn me around on abstracts, LOL....Bill

I keep saying in front of an abstract artistic work, that everyone is free to build an answer in their mind, but the fact remains that the attention of the viewer of the photograph has been captured, ciao Giangiorgio

Bill, usually abstracts like this one don't contain identifiable elements. It's more about color, lighting, and form. So don't worry if you can't determine the image's subject. Many thanks!

Hi Michael,

this abstract is a real attention grabber, with its bold complementary colors and psychedelic lines and patterns in which I see a lot of not-so-pleasant faces, but that is entirely my problem of course. I wonder why you included the bottom part; it must have been intentional as I know you invest a lot of time and effort in your abstracts. That bottom part is very different from the rest of the image. Kind regards, Vincent

Vincent, if you took heed of the image's title, you certainly would have concluded that the bottom area serves as support for the tents! (Meant in jest.) I didn't put a great deal of thought into the title, and deriving this part of my response to you possibly was just a matter of logic. In all honesty, when I studied psychology as an undergraduate, I came across a number of examples of Figure-Ground - for example, a bright white and jet black drawing which could be perceived as a goblet or as two children looking at each other. In conclusion, my guess is that the gestalt of a series of circus tents involves a foundation. In any case, thanks so much for the time you invested in viewing the image and also for your usual thoughtful comments. - - My best always,

Not only is this an exquisite abstract, but a riddle: the horizontal strip at the bottom, breaking, cracking the overall tension of this most impressively visual color delight. DG
