Giangiorgio Crisponi 463 Posted February 22, 2020 Hai saputo cogliere il momento magico, una foto molto bella i falchi si stagliano molto nitidi e ben illuminati su uno sfondo omogeneo, ciao Giangiorgio Link to comment

tm_j 30 Posted February 23, 2020 I was not sure what kind of bird since I've never seen any bird like this in the US (Southern California). Looks like a cross between the American Kestrel and Peregrine Falcon. Good catch! Link to comment
bernath 2 Posted February 24, 2020 Thank you, TmJ, for watching. The bird is distributed in Europe, Asia and Africa, though breeding is confined to Asia and the Eastern part of Europe. The first North American record of Red-footed Falcon was found on a small airstrip managed by the Nature Conservancy on Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts on August 8, 2004. https://sora.unm.edu/sites/default/files/BirdObserver32.6_Page355-357_Identification%20of%20the%20Martha%27s%20Vineyard%20Red-footed%20Falcon_David%20Allen%20Sibley.pdf Best,- Sandor Link to comment
