bernath 2 Posted February 7, 2020 The black-headed gull (Chroicocephalus ridibundus) is migratory, and most of them spend the winters further south. In the summer, the adults' head become chocolate-brown (not black as suggested by its name). During the early 19th century, black-headed gulls were quite rare, but its population increased dramatically throughout the 20th century. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted February 7, 2020 Great shot of the seagul, i see you know all about the necessity of very fast shutter speeds to minimize blurring of the wings! Link to comment
bernath 2 Posted February 7, 2020 Thank you, Philip, for viewing it. Because I usually hold my camera by hand without tripod or monopod, the high speed also reduces the effect of inevitable shakiness of the hand. Best,- Sandor Link to comment
pablowarko 1 Posted March 5, 2020 Love the wing extension on this bird, Sandor. Looks like it sees something for dinner. Fantastic timing and capture. Best regards, Paul. Link to comment
