The thief is always in action. (Ardea cinerea). It is easier to try to steal the prey captured by another than to try to capture it by itself. Nikon D850, Sigma supertele 300-800 mm, f / 8, 1/1000 sec, ISO 2200. Thanks for your comments

Looks like the race is on to see if the bird in front keeps the dinner or if the other one gets the dinner, Giangiorgio. It must take a long time to catch a fish. Excellent timing and presentation. Best regards, Paul.

Hi Giangiorgio,

 

a very well taken photo from the 'ladri di pesci' series. Stealing prey is very common amongst these birds, certainly these grey herons; they do not know any shame. I suspect you shot this image at a pretty high ISO, because it looks grainy. However the action and composition are, as always, very good! Kind regards, Vincent
