It is very interesting to follow your acomplishments with the flying insect photos. They keep getting better and better and more and more incredible. Like this marvelous ballet!

Thank you, Philip, for the kind words. All insects, and for that matter all living beings, have their own pattern of behavior that you can observe and then plan how take a photo of them. Getting a Bombylius species like this is not that difficult because they tend to hover over flowers in one spot for 2-4 seconds then move, and then hover again. This gives you a reasonable chance.
