Great shot, Jack! I like this harmonious landscape, light, shadows, details ... plus Yukihiro. Good in black and white. On can guess Yukihiro is walking through the Nara Park. Google and you helped me walk virtually through this amazing park. Bravo! Sincerely, Tatiana

A lone runner making his way on one of several different trails . . . This tells a story of a fundamental truth of human existence - the freedom to choose and the uncertainty that accompanies one's choices. Jack, the image portrays an extraordinarily beautiful spot that must draw many more people than just this one, lone runner. The environment seems entirely peaceful; how I wish I could be there. Another favorite . . . .

Hi Jack,

the seemingly casual landscape Yukihiro is walking in(to) has been carefully shaped by you, the photographer, even if there is an unmistakable beauty in the surroundings themselves. The composition is far too harmonious and well-balanced to be the product of a snapshot. The tones and contrast look great, as does the focus. In short, you composed another one of your inconspicuous masterpieces. A beautiful photo of a man in his natural environment. Kind regards, Vincent

Tatiana, Michael, Vincent - Thanks for the comments on this picture. I live in the hurdy-gurdy of Osaka, right near the center of town with it's cramped confines, traffic and constantly migrating throngs. When I go to Nara with its wide open spaces, it's like I'm learning how to breathe again.

I like very much the natural walking scene, enhanced by the photographer composition. Great work Jack! Vittorio

I like how everything flows in this image, Jack. You have the path, then the shrubs and grass on the left and then the trees to the left of them. A well constructed and composed presentation. I particularly like the light and how it presents all the parts. A beautiful creation. Best regards, Paul.
