The Belle Meade Plantation, of which this scene is a very small part, is located in the Nashville, Tennessee, vicinity. A bit above the top doors is an inscription, which reads as follows. "C. Callachan; (next line below) Builder, 1884. your feedback always is welcome.

Hi Michael,

very appealing photo of this building and its surroundings, good light and detail. I see three 'dotted' vertical lines run through the image, looks like something you should check into. I like the composition in this photo. Kind regards, Vincent

Warren & Ken, thanks a bunch for your generous comments. - - - Vincent, I also thank you for your thoughtful remarks. Quite honestly, I've searched the image as thoroughly as possible and I've not been able to find the verticals you mention.

Michael this is a very beautiful scene wonderfully captured. Vincent is right about the dotted lines, I didn't notice them at first but after reading the comments went back and sure enough they are there. I wonder what caused this................BR, Holger

Holger, I'm grateful for your continued support. As to the vertical lines - - I've painstakingly examined the image on my iMac and my iPad, and I just cannot spot them anywhere. Can you please provide more information on their location in the image? - - My best always, michael

Hi Michael, The dotted lines are just to the left of the big tree on the right, then two rows of vertical dots near each end of the front of the building, just a littlle in from the ends. It's a beautiful image and it's really just curiosity on my part. Hope this helps..................Best Always, Holger

I'm most grateful, Paul. It took me more time than I wanted to spend, but I discovered the dotted lines Vincent and Holger mentioned in other photos I shot using the same lens - a Tamron 18-300. I no longer use that lens, needless to say. - - My best always, michael
