Giangiorgio...This was taken from the edge of the crater;at that era,more than 20 years ago,it was somewhat risky to walk the rim as there were no safety barriers and however careful/prudent one was,there were also the other visitors,many with cameras to cope with.I was there several times during my stay in Indonesia and this happened on a day BROMO was getting restless but fortunately not enough for the authorities to close the site.Glad you like the shot!Salutations-Laurent
