tai 3 Posted September 25, 2018 Remarkable shot, Pierre! I like how you captured the figure of this elderly person and the background. Amazing geometry formed by street lines, railways, power lines … ! I see the Clock Tower. Perhaps your uncle is a lover of fishing. This place is next to the river (plus a fishing equipment shop). I like this episode of everyday life, colors, light, shadows, details, textures. Congratulations, Sincerely, Tatiana Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 285 Posted September 25, 2018 Tatiana, it is not an elderly person, it's my own uncle who was a greatest hunter in the area in his younger days! Thank you very much for your comment based on thorough exploration! PDE Link to comment

Tony Long 28 Posted September 26, 2018 Pierre a lovely portrait of your Uncle I think the fisheye distortion works well here to place him at the centre of his world. The distortion bends to the centre emphasising the importance of the subject but at the same time, as Tatiana observes, there is lots to investigate in his world. Regards Tony Link to comment
