There was a railway track which miraculously separated the ruined and non ruined (from our side) areas in 1963, Tatiana! Thank you for the beautiful comment based on thorough exploration! PDE

I can't explain the absence of people on the city streets and even the main square, Laurent! But, I can explain why do I like it, ha! Simply because of there is only one figure it might not aesthetically integrate in the composition! Not to speak about a crowd of people! Thank you very much for your precious visit and nice comment!
