frigo 4,155 Posted March 24, 2018 This little guy showed up while we were having our morning coffee.Foxy went for the bread we had put out for Cocotte, our regular crow and her family then stayed around for the couple of weiners we threw out. After eating one,it went and buried the other in the snow in front of the house;guess we will see a return tomorrow...maybe?Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
andrzejp 7 Posted March 24, 2018 Beautiful animal! Foxes are very curious and for most part not afraid of people. I had one following me for a while on a winter hike. Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted March 24, 2018 Hi Andrew...Beautiful indeed;I didn't have the right lense nearby and I shot through the window not to scare it away.I'll get prepared for tomorrow morning...just in case it shows up.Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
gregverena 343 Posted March 24, 2018 we rarely see these around here, this one is really cute- would make a nice stole (: Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted March 25, 2018 Greg & Verena...The last time I saw one of these here(in the yard) was about 10 years ago. After Foxy buried its second weiner this morning,we went away for the day and back home at suppertime....SURPRISE,Foxy is back goes directly to its stach and digs out its supper. Now,let's see if we get to see a return visit for breakfast tomorrow.Forget about the stole,Monique has already adopted him/her.Salutations-Laurent Link to comment

frigo 4,155 Posted March 25, 2018 Chris...Thank you. This is in front of the house shooting through the window as I didn't want to scare it off.Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted March 25, 2018 Hi Giangiorgio...Foxy here is a newly discovered neighbor! Now,I worry that my rabbit neighbors may have disappeared? This gives you an idea that I live somewhat distant from the city lights!!!Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
andrzejp 7 Posted March 25, 2018 Hi Laurent, Sorry for one more comment. They seem to like eggs very much. I had a mother fox with 5 baby foxes in my yard one time. She loved eggs! Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted March 25, 2018 Andrew...Eggs?...raw or cooked?Maybe irrelevant as Foxy did not show up today even if I had some breakfast(weiners/cheese/bread)ready to serve!Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
andrzejp 7 Posted March 26, 2018 Ho Laurent raw eggs. But I was very lucky my fox was a resident. It munched up on a woodchuck and took his burrow in the corner of the yard, than have 5 baby foxes!!! Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted March 27, 2018 Andrew...Thank you.Our Foxy has not returned,so I guess it was just a short visit and it went its way.Too bad!salutations-Laurent Link to comment
