I really like the way you have composed this, giving precedence to the stormy sea. I'm not as enamored with the processing, though, since (all things being equal) the composition has enough power as is.

Jack, I do appreciate your remarks. Without the post work I did (primarily compositing 2 images), the composition would have been materially different. The original image displayed the shoreline as it appears here, and the waves were coming in parallel to it. The second simply involved a horizontal rotation of the first. Once the composite was done, the effect has the waves coming in directly to the viewer. I don't know whether this will prompt you to have second thoughts; please let me know one way or the other. - - michael
