Wayne Sadler 567 Posted February 4, 2018 I hope I have not offended this lovely violinist by posting this grab shot. But even at some distance from this ensemble performing at a restaurant in the Piazza San Marco in Venice one could see that enigmatic expression (not quite a smile) was indelible as art. Wayne Sadler 567 Posted February 5, 2018 Thanks, Patsy. My shyness had me some distance away from the musicians. Thank goodness I was using a tripod. Link to comment
clayton_m 4 Posted February 6, 2018 Her expression and the elements in the composition work to much appeal. In the thumbnail it looks fine, but when I open the larger image, it looks a little out-of-focus or maybe soft from slow shutter speed in existing light. Or maybe that was your intention here. It's just such an interesting image, I want to see more detail/sharpness in her face. Cheers, -Clayton Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 567 Posted February 6, 2018 Many thanks, Clayton, for taking time with this image and your excellent observation. I was shooting at a working distance of approx 30 meters with a focal length of 70mm, at f/6.3 and shutter speed of 1/125s. This is a 233KB jpeg crop of a 206mb tiff image. This is not as sharp as I would like but I am amazed at the degree of clarity given the parameters. I think my tripod made this possible. Link to comment
