The Tower Moat

I thought this part of the Tower of London with its fencing, gates and pathetic lion figures looked too touristy and not deserving of a photograph. But I photographed it anyway. It was not until I saw some old paintings of the Tower of London was I inspired to work with my images. My pathetic lions weren’t so pathetic anymore.
