tm_j 30 Posted July 2, 2017 Grazie Mille Giangiorgio! Yup, I wish I had know about this fish and this feeding behaviour sooner. I had though it's a bullhead but by chance I was talking to someone and there was a biologist standing next to us had chimed in our conversation and told me it's a Plainfin Midshipman Fish. From there, I keep observing and see the same fish as prey at various place that I had been shooting on this trip to Washington State . Now, my conclusion is the feeding is time to the breeding cycle of this particular fish. At Seabeck, WA it's a bit unique that this area has oyster bed such that the fish sort of got stuck in between the rock like oyster bed and becomes a feast for the birds. Link to comment
