I can see people and faces in about everything – in clouds, in a bowl of cereal, in a pile of trash – in about anything. I think most of us have that “ability”. It is this human “trait” that privileges an artist infinite ways to convey so much about the human condition in a single or several brushstrokes

Wayne,

To be honest each of your work has some new surprising elements,

slightly different than previous work,

Of course the style is unique-I mean yours!

Excellent and creative work,

ZT,

Many thanks, Chris, Pierre, Patsy and ZT. It is good to know I am not boring people with this exploration of style.

This one has a certain creepy element in its' mood ( to me anyway). It looks as though the watching on the corner pertains to the dark figure off to the left by all of those to the right. My interpretation could be a stalker, anyway I look at it, it's another fine piece of work from you Wayne.................Best Always, Holger..........Having a little fun while admiring your work.

Thanks, Holger. Maybe creepy. I was most fascinated with how much was being communicated by dress, body posture, etc.

Wayne, as one who has a fondness for abstract images, this one immediately caught my eye when I opened your homepage. I find two elements to be quite strong: (1) the painterly treatment you used (what software?), and (2) the dark, shadowy figure framed between two trees (as Holger mentioned before me). While some may find the scene the image presents as "sketchy" and perhaps ominous, I see it as part of a world where the inhabitants are surrounded by patches of color, darkness, and light. They possibly are quite comfortable navigating in it, taking it for what it is, we Earth creatures have to impose our own interpretations. Excellent work! - - michael

Many thanks, Michael, for taking the time with this image. I was pleased with how this image turned out. I have been trying for some time

to paint with a watercolor style that has intrigued me. I found I can best imitate that style digitally by combining and masking photoshop, and topaz filters. I layer filters like I layer washes/glazes in watercolor and mask out or brush through the various glazes/layers to reveal in a limited way the image.
