Giangiorgio Crisponi 477 Posted February 18, 2017 I envy your steady hand, a great catch, you have been able to show not only the good eye contact of the hawk but also the eye of the fish, ciao Giangiorgio Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted February 18, 2017 Wow, now that's a dramatic image. The Osprey's intense expression says it all, a superior predator. One of your many bests... Mike Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted February 18, 2017 Grazie Mille Giangiorgio! My left bicept get ache a bit now and then (after many months of not using this big setup) but It's nice to be able to shoot handheld with the Canon + 500mm again. May be when Mr. Canon comes out with the 600mm DO my problem would be solved :-) Thanks Mr. Mancil! I got lucky since the birds came down twice (I was only there 1 hour at my lunch time) and both times infront of me and flew straight toward me. I got a bunch of shots with clipped off wings since it's too closed :-) Link to comment
Coho 2 Posted February 18, 2017 This is a good crop. And the expression on the fish is priceless. By the way, you should seriously take a look at the Tamron or Sigma 150 to 600 telephotos with respect to the weight factor. Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted February 19, 2017 Thanks David! LOL, I've been thinking of trying out either Tamron/Sigma 150-600mm .. not sure if one is better than the other. I do know that Sigma has two versions such that one for the commoner and one for the richer folks :-) Link to comment
